NAMI GLAC is the leading county-wide organization composed of grassroots-based chapters that promote wellness, recovery, equality, and dignity for individuals and families affected by mental illness and the community at large. They work to provide leadership in advocacy, education, support, and public awareness throughout Los Angeles County. Mental illness can be treated, and people living with mental illness can recover to live fulfilling lives.

“NAMI is the Secret Weapon” – LA Mayor Karen Bass Emphatically Supports Mental Health Awareness at NAMIWalks

LA Mayor Karen Bass stepped onto the stage at the 20th Anniversary NAMIWalks Mental Health Fest and gave an emphatic speech supporting mental health awareness and stated NAMI as “the secret weapon” against stigma and despair among family members and peers working to manage their mental health.
