NAMI Greater Los Angeles County is transforming lives by providing help + hope for all affected by mental illness. Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference in the lives of individuals and families impacted by mental illness all across L.A. County.
The L.A. Marathon and Charity Half Marathon is one of the premiere running events in the world. Both the 26.2-mile marathon and the 13.1-mile Charity Half Marathon travel across Los Angeles giving the 20,000 runners an iconic-L.A. experience, starting at Dodgers Stadium, and running west across the city to the finish line at Century City. Through fundraising events, we can expand our programs and services to reach more people impacted by mental illness across L.A. County. By joining Team NAMI you will receive:

When is the marathon and charity half marathon?
The marathon and charity half marathon are on March 16th, 2025.
What are the registration fees & fundraising commitment?
The registration fee per person is expected to be a non-refundable fee between $170 for L.A. Marathon 26.2, and $135 for the exclusive Charity Half Marathon, which covers the cost of your race bib. Space is limited, so sign up today! Each participant is required to set a fundraising goal of at least $1,000. We have many tools to help you succeed and will be here to support you along the way.
After registration, an email will be sent to you from NAMI with either a $170 or $135 invoice (depending on which race you sign up for). This will cover the registration fee for the race and confirm your participation with Team NAMI so it should be completed as soon as possible. Your entry will not be held if this is not completed within one week.

Is there a fundraising deadline?
All fundraising money, including matching gifts, must be posted online on or before March 15th, 2025 to qualify for awards, prizes, and team/individual rankings.
What is the cancellation policy?
All registrations & donations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Team NAMI: How Your Donation Makes a Difference
All donations from Team NAMI runners and walkers allow NAMI GLAC fulfill our mission to bring awareness to mental illness and support Angelenos who are learning to improve their mental health.
The money collected allow NAMI GLAC to help our community in the following ways:
- $25 – Provides one person with access to peer-led support groups
- $50 – Provides one individual training in how to recognize and offer initial aid to someone who may be experiencing a mental health crisis
- $150 – Covers the cost of one Ending the Silence class, teaching high-school students how to recognize the signs of mental distress in themselves and others
- $300 – Provides one crisis intervention training, educating officers on how to recognize when individuals have mental illness and are symptomatic, deescalating the situation and navigating people towards resources and help
- $500 – Sends one family through Family-to-Family support, end EBP, where they learn from peers, information and strategies for taking care of the person they love who lives with a mental health condition
